Pictures hosting for Nscale members We could upload pictures here, that are in some ways related to us, like empire builder games or railraod games and have a url to use. I think we deserve a hosting for the needs in our community, so i added this category to help our members with uploading in other websites, use it wisely.

Test Thread Try posting Attachments here.

Ok.. I've been wanting to learn how to post 'Attachments' Something more permanent that stays with the forum just in case I don't pay my photobucket bill. I hate to think my photos and contributions all being gone 4 years from now and thus the importance of making the pics lasting with 'attachments'. I can not find any other area. And a test thread could be useful for those learning how. This thread or photos can be remove, deleted or move to a more another section. I just feel I dont' need to mess up anymore.. and having to ask Rosco to detele or edit something. I am the type to have a hard time to learn something but the best one to write down instructions on how to do something.. after the fact of trial and error.
So everyone please feel free to test what ever photo you'd like to have here in this forum. This thread is for everyone to anyone that would like to give it a try.
Well I am back here editing, to try to explain what I wanted and what I did. Just in case I need to know, and maybe others might want to give it a try. Who knows.. maybe you're having trouble downloading an attachment from Photobucket.
Here's what I did. First I 're-sized' the original pic in photobucket to a 'Large' setting. Best size to me, without too much loss of detail. Now using Photobucket and the 'Manage Attachments' here in this forum I set about using the .. Manage Attachments section towards the bottom. Look for the 'Upload file from a URL'. In that box you will place the... the URL code from Photobucket. In Photobucket there is a file / box that says 'Share this Image' ... look for the 'Direct Link' copy that code and paste it to the 'Upload file from URL box in the 'Manage Attachments' box. Now I don't know if this is a lasting method.. or the correct way. Perhaps this is why I have opened this Test Thread. Its here for all of us. Try it any old way.. but at least you're making the effort. Lets post away~
