Haines Point Railway

Well it's beginning.

Next Saturday I will be starting the new bench work for the Haines Point Railway...

The plan has been developed but still I have a few concerns.

Take a look. First there is no way onto the Red Line from the Blue line without backing out. Not good but I'm pretty stuck here. Because the grades are starting it's a problem. Although it's not the end of the world I'd be open to any other ideas.

I am planing a 2% grade on the Red Line so that there is a 1" clearance where the Blue Line crosses. The Blue line will be declining 1" by the time it gets to the bridge (now there should be a 2" clearance) and continue -1" until after going under the second bridge before going back up to ground zero.

The other thing that is bugging me is that the Blue line will be down -1"...So do you think the train will be obscured after it crosses under the bridge and comes in front of the control panel? I'm thinking maybe I cut back the 1" foam base a little for reveal. Ideas?

Any other suggestions or idea will be appreciated.
