Rep Power: 0 KatoP42_Kid will find soon the double tracks
up and over (ascending twice around a mountain)

Not sure if this the right forum to ask this in, but......... Found 3 sheets of blue foam, an old interior door, and had left over roadbed. Was just testing diff. theories, and thought about an over/under. I have over 14' to ascend/descend, so no prob. clearing the lower track, but then I wondered if it would be better to have the track making 2 loops around a mountain, just for more height. Any thoughts on this?
Want it ascending up a mountain on one end, and descending inside a mountain on the other end.

First attempt at any grades, and want to make a place to run my Shay, and a few log cars (fantasy layout.......just like to see them run)

Might be a crazy idea......did stay out in the hot sun too long today.
