LS Models: TUI Passenger Cars

Nobody can complain as much as German model railroaders. Don't ask, it's just a skill we have With recent movements in the MRR market (Minitrix being taken over by Maerklin, Roco being bought by a holding, same holding buying Fleischmann, Maerklin itself going into bankruptcy..) we German railroaders detect traces of "Weltuntergang", i.e. the end of our hobby in the most profane things.

But let's not fret: Where there is a market, there will always be someone to satisfy it.

Enter LS Models. Historically, this Belgian medium size manufacturer concentrated on HO models, but in the last couple of years they entered the N scale market as well, and not only with models of Belgian passenger cars, but also with cars from France (with the beautiful 'Mistral'), the Netherlands or Germany.

One gap that LS models closed in German MRR is the TUI Ferienexpress, a 'holiday train' that operated in its own livery (somewhat garish, but if Starsky and Hutch ever were supposed to have travelled in Germany, they surely would have chosen this train ) back in the late 70s

And today they have arrived (ordered before my self-imposed purchase ban )

Stunning - thanks, LS Models!

Cheers,
Colonel
