Chassis update for Bachmann U36B?

Hi All. Has anybody found a good chassis to replace the Bachmann U36B chassis. I love my Auto-Train engines, but you know how they run. I've heard that the Bachmann GP50 chassis will fit this shell. Any one know for sure or has done the switch? Thanks, Dave L.

Still wondering. Happy New Year! Dave L.

I have no idea if this would help, but I think I'd try an Atlas U25B or U23B chassis. I think I'd try kit bashing one of those as well. Seeing as the B-Mann shell is butt ugly. Maybe you could use a B36-7 and U23B to bash a U36. Not sure. Just a suggestion.

Kit bashing would be tough as there are no Auto-train decals to finish the job. I am surprised that there have been no Auto-train models except the old Bachmann engines, auto cars, and the full domes. I will get out some Atlas engine and see if any are close. Thanks, Dave L.
