The login glitch , registration blocks and inability to post pics to albums
has doomed this once fine forum . We tried to get Serge to allow some
respected members to be moderators and let them handle the day-to-day
administration of the site . With approval power solely wielded by him ,
his extended absences has caused even diehard members to become
disheartened and give up trying to post new material . For those like me
that can still log in , this place is now an archive of past greatness . . .

I really miss the participation of many members; that was what made this a great place to exchange N scale info. Dave L.

I know what you mean. When I first joined the group it would take me a half an hour to read the new posts. Now I am logged in and out in less than 3 minutes.

Nman 10-13-2018 07:28 AM

Should be. Takes CPR to get logged in.

I still come by , but admit that it is getting less often . . .

laughery1013 11-29-2018 10:10 AM

I was here today. Dave L.

Hi guys, I stopped by here today to see how things are going and there's almost no activity. It's sad to see what has happened to NSO.

I am on Modeltrainforum.com which is a multi-scale forum. i'm also on Trainboard.com which is also a multi-scale forum. Dan (Ole smokey) is on Trainboard and I have been following his layout build. If NSO dies those are both good alternatives.

Hope you are all well and still enjoying trains.

Take care.

bill1952 12-05-2018 03:16 AM

Joe good to see you back again. I also belong to some other forms ] , https://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/forum.php , https://www.nscale.net/forums/forum.php , http://www.miniature-trains.com/ .

But I always check in here every day. When I got into n-scale trains this was the first forum I signed up for. Guess I will be here as long as it is up and working.

Country Joe 12-05-2018 08:36 AM

Hi Bill, It's good to hear from you. I will try to check in a little more often in the future.

HO-Scale site
Anyone know what has become of the HO-Scale site?

sabstrains 01-14-2019 08:51 AM

I'M on Trainboard too. On all the other forums I'm Secret Weapon. See you there. Look for me in Springfield.

Me, too. Dave L.

My kids are just getting old enough to suddenly get the railroad bug. So I broke my stuff out of mothballs. Swung by to see what had been going on. Sad to see it's died out. I'm on most of the usual culprits and on a few of the facebook pages. This was a great site. But I suppose all things come to an end. I'll have to swing back sometime and see what happens.

camelback 04-05-2019 05:21 AM

After being unable to access this site for so long I can understand why people are abandoning it . The site may not be dead but it must be on life support and is in danger of pegging out. Which would be a great loss as in my opinion it was the premier railroad site on the net.

goodstuff3 04-05-2019 08:37 PM

Somehow I never lost access here . I wish Serg had allowed
moderators to approve album photos . I feel the lack of new
member approval also has led to the demise of this site . So
many members have passed on , others couldn't get back on
after changing email addresses , and some got their knickers
in a knot over trivial matters and left . I'll keep checking in
as long as the site ( or me ) still exists .

spyder62 04-09-2019 10:05 AM

Sorry to see it die, but know part of the reason.
Serg does this with his own money and think the N-scle.org box car was the last straw. Everyone said they wanted one so he spent a ton of money getting them make. Then few ordered them, I still have maybe 80 or more left here, that alone is at least 12-1500 hundred dollars out of his pocket.
So the members have some of the blame to shoulder.
Just my 2-cents
